The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care to assigned patients. As a professional nurse, the nursing process is utilized in the provision of care. The RN practices within the limits of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and adheres to institutional policies, procedures, and standards.

PRN nurses will report to an assigned Clinical Services Manager (CSM) based on current area of expertise in OR, PRE-OP, PACU, PHASE II, INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY, ENDOSCOPY, CATH LAB, or ONE DAY SURGERY (OR, Pre-Op, or PACU).
One (1) year CURRENT hospital bedside registered nursing experience required in ICU or SAME AREA as selected to work PRN.
Work hours vary from 7A-7P or 7P-7A seven days a week for Inpatient vs. Monday thru Friday for Out Patient areas.

Duties of the Job:
Select to work for any of the following Integrated Clinical Enterprise (ICE) areas:
Inpatient: E2 OR, E2 PACU, Interventional Radiology or Cath. Lab
Outpatient: Endoscopy, E2 Pre-Op or E2 Phase II, ODS Pre-Op, ODS OR or ODS PACU.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:
-Minimum of one (1) year current hospital/bedside registered nursing experience in ICU or SAME AREAS as selected unit.
-BLS; ACLS (except Inpatient OR and Outpatient ODS OR); and/or PALS (Inpatient and Outpatient Pre-Op/Phase II/PACU).
-Inpatient: Work two (2) 12 hour shifts a month with a maximum of 1000 hours in a 12 month floating period.
-Outpatient: work two (2) 8 hour shifts a month with a maximum of 1000 hours in a 12 month floating period.
-Concurrent work one (1) 12 hour shift a month with a maximum of 1000 hours per year in a 12 month floating period.
-Inpatient: work 2 Holidays/year: 1 Major (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, or New Year's Day) and 1 Minor
-Outpatient: work Holidays (On-call/unit specific)
-Inpatient: work two (2) weekend shifts/year; receive 20% shift differential for E/N/P shifts; and receive 10% weekend differential from 7A Saturday to 7A Monday.
