The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care to assigned patients. As a professional nurse, the nursing process is utilized in the provision of care. The RN practices within the limits of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and adheres to institutional policies, procedures and standards.
Work Hours: Fulltime position; 7A-7P, three shifts, plus rotate weekends.
Job Duties: Registered Nurse (RN) I working the Pulaski County Regional Crisis Stabilization Unit in the UAMS Psychiatric Research Institute consistently provides effective direct care, as part of the interdisciplinary team, to a variety of patients based on licensure, title and competencies. Seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice. Integrates theory and research into clinical practice. Provides leadership to members of the nursing team in order to maintain patient care standards. Reports to the Clinical Service Manager (CSM). The RN works under the direct supervision of the Clinical Services Manager (CSM). Promotion is based on years of experience, satisfactory performance appraisals and recommendation by manager.
Required Experience: RN License, minimum of 1 year registered nursing experience; basic computer skills.
Preferred Experience: Previous experience in an acute care psychiatric setting.
