The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care to assigned patients. As a professional nurse, the nursing process is utilized in the provision of care. The RN practices within the limits of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and adheres to institutional policies, procedures and standards.
Work hours: 7A-7P, Flex, plus rotate weekends; fulltime position.
Job Duties: Registered Nurse III for Premier Positions with Full-time benefits and Division Float Differential offered.
RNs hired to the Maternal/Infant Float Division will have basic skills in all areas:
*NICU, unvented babies, without umbilical lines (UAC/UVC)
*Labor and Delivery (not expected to scrub)
The Float Division Clinical Services Manager (CSM) will evenly divide the M/I Float Division nurse to each of the 4 departments as a home base unit for inclusion in having a 'holiday'. The CSM of the unit will be informed by the Float Division CSM which unit the nurse is to be placed for this purpose.
Department CSMs will participate in the interview process.
RNs may have additional competencies in the above areas. Maintenance of these competencies is to be approved with the Float Division CSM and the CSM of the department where additional competencies validation is being requested. There must be documentation of these competencies for the M/I Float Division nurse to care for these patients.
Required Experience: RN License, 3 years of current expert registered nurse clinical skills in Maternal/Infant. Must be flexible with work schedule including weekends. Must have excellent charge/leadership responsibilities, basic computer skills.
