All CRNAs shall conduct their practice in accordance with UAMS policy and procedures. The purpose of this policy and procedure is to insure safe, quality care for patients requiring anesthesia services. This policy and procedure will apply to all CRNAs employed by the Department of Anesthesiology. It is the responsibility of the chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology to ensure that all CRNAs are knowledgeable of and in compliance with these policy and procedures. Practice of anesthesia is the practice of medicine. CRNAs shall be authorized to administer anesthesia only under the direct supervision/medical direction of a physician. The performance of clinical duties shall be under the overall direction of the Chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology or his/her designee.
Schedule: M-F 6:30am to 3:00pm
Position Location: UAMS Hospital Operating Rooms
CRNA must be licensed by the State of Arkansas as an RN, and ARNP, and be certified by the Council on Certification/Recertification of the AANA. Responsibilities include general and regional anesthesia. This position will supervise and direct Anesthesia Techs.
Required Experience: AR RN, MSN, APRN, AANA, & CRNA License. Proof of these requirements may be requested at any time. New Graduates welcome, will consider applicants in Final Semester of CRNA school. Excellent communication skills, basic computer skills, strong work ethics and accountability.
