A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) who provides anesthesia services in a collaborative care team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based anesthesia for the UAMS Main Operating Rooms. The CRNA provides anesthesia for patients of all acuity levels in a variety of settings.
Clinical responsibilities of the CRNA are delineated by his or her clinical privileges and may include:
Master Degree in Nurse Anesthesia with current CRNA license, plus certified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists. Must have accountability and the high level problem solving abilities.
