Clinical Services Managers(CSMs) have major responsibility for the implementation of the vision, mission, philosophy, core values, evidence-based practice, and standards of the organization, and nursing services within their defined areas of responsibility. The CSM has authority to make decisions in these areas specific to the unit managed and has 24 hour accountability for unit operation. The CSM practices within the standards of UAMS, the American Nurses Association for Scope and Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nursing, Nursing's Social Policy Statement, and specialty.
Work Hours: Fulltime position; typically 8A-4:30P, Monday through Friday.
Clinical Services Manager (CSM) Registered Nurse for Imaging, collaborates and supports other department managers in the performance of their duties and in the resolution of management problems associated with Patient Care Services. Evaluates and utilizes input from patient, families, physicians, and peers regarding staff performance and patient care provided. Responds to staffing needs of unit. Provides feedback in a private and constructive manner. Provides accurate documentation concerning staff performance with follow up on staff concerns or disciplinary process. Informs Director of changing patterns of care needs that will affect the clinic or patients. Role models positive behavior at all times, including during periods of change/increased workload/stress. Identifies problems impacting effectiveness of patient care/unit activities and their solutions. Identifies nursing needs in crisis situations and performs clinical functions as necessary including support of family and/or staff. Provides nurse consultation services. Interviews and hires qualified staff. Fosters an environment that enhances staff productivity. Analyzes turnover, clinic dashboards, and staffing metrics monthly and discusses with Director. Fosters a culture of safety in the surgical environment in which both staff and patient problems may be expressed and solved in real time. Budget responsibilities include coordinating budget planning, implementation in collaboration with Directors. Evaluating division capital equipment needs and preparing formal justification for equipment purchases. Participates as a representative on various hospital committees and councils to develop, evaluate, and select policies and procedures that facilitate achievement of the organization and division goals. Serves as a resource to other departments in policy decisions. Participates in ongoing hospital performance assessment and process improvement.
Required Experience: Current AR RN License, BSN with 5 years experience in the field of nursing, excels in verbal and non-verbal communication; basic computer skills.
Preferred Experience: Advanced degree in Nursing, leadership experience.
