    The Advanced Practice Partner is a licensed nurse who functions within the three spheres of influence; patient-nurse-system.

    Responsibilities

    Work Hours: Fulltime position, Monday through Friday days with some p.m. and weekend hours.

     

    Job Duties: The Advanced Practice Partner is a licensed nurse who functions within the three spheres of influence; patient-nurse-system. Must possess advanced knowledge of evidenced-based care of the womens health inpatient population inclusive but not limited to labor and delivery and high risk obstetric patients and apply that knowledge to nursing assessment, diagnoses, and intervention of the patient receiving care. The Advanced Practice Partner (APP) functions independently to provide theory and evidence-based knowledge that impacts patient care outcomes, practice, and core competencies for the womens health inpatient service line.  The APP provides leadership in collaboration with the Womens and Infants Service Line Nursing Director and the Director of Nursing Practice and Policy focusing on professional development, skills/competency validation, evidence-based practice, regulatory compliance, nurse sensitive quality indicators, and performance improvement. The APP collaborates with the multidisciplinary team and functions in the healthcare system as a leader, consultant, and change agent and, therefore, must possess strong communication and problem-solving skills.

    Qualifications

    Required Experience: AR RN License, BSN with minimum 4 years clinical experience in inpatient womens health nursing specialty, two of which should be in labor and delivery and/or high risk obstetric specialty; current National Certification in womens health nursing or similar; basic computer skills.

     

    Preferred Experience: participation in Joint Commission accreditation surveys; graduate degree in nursing; 8 years in clinical specialty and 2 years leadership experience.
