    Overview: Clinical Service Managers(CSMs) have major responsibility for the implementation of the vision, mission, philosophy, core values, evidence-based practice, and standards of the organization, and nursing services within their defined areas of responsibility. The CSM has authority to make decisions in these areas specific to the unit managed and has 24 hour accountability for unit operation. The CSM practices within the standards of UAMS, the American Nurses Association for Scope and Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nursing, Nursing's Social Policy Statement, and specialty

    Responsible for the supervision and coordination of the day-to-day operations and functions  of the Gastro, Transplant, Urology, and Interventional Radiology Procedure clinics in coordination with the medical directors and Service Line Leadership.


    Supervisory Duties (50%): Maintains an understanding of all job positions within the facility for problem resolving and assisting as needed.   Assures that all policies and procedures are followed and understood by staff. Orients new employees to their job responsibilities, policies and the facility. Trains, schedules, assigns and monitors work of personnel. Conducts employee evaluations and counseling, recommending hiring, firing, and salary adjustments. Conducts staff or facility meetings. Interprets, communicates and distributes new or revised facility, department or Institutional information to employees. Coordinates facility employee education and in-services.   Communicates and resolves problems between facility staff, physician and other Chair and Service Line. Conveys the instructions of the radiation oncologist to the appropriate individual and ensures their execution. Coordinates the examination and reporting of patient, visitor and employee incidents or accidents. Represents as a liaison to the hospital or other facilities/business on routine basis or problems solving. Reports and assures response from hospital personnel for facility problems or needs. Maintains confidentiality of all patient, employee and institution information.


    Daily Operations (30%): Monitors, orders, and receives supplies for the facility. Prepares Purchase Orders and Check Requests for verified supplies received at facility. Conducts annual inventory. Prepares employee payroll for submission to accounting/payroll department.


    Reporting   (20%): Assists in budget preparation, review and expenditure approval.   Prepares QA and Key Result Reports monthly.


     Customer Service: Interacts with and assists the public in a professional and friendly manner as needed. Demonstrates effective communication skills; communicates accurate and complete information; maintains strict confidentiality when necessary. Demonstrates positive working relationships with co-workers, management team, and ancillary departments; follows the Core Concepts of Patient and Family Centered Care and the Basic Code of Conduct Guidelines. Assist internal and external stakeholders as needed with exceptional customer service.


    Valid License as a Registered Nurse by the State of Arkansas, Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with Bachelors in Nursing required;  (Masters preferred or Nursing Health Care Administration, Business Administration NOT required) Direct RN Nursing Care experience of 10 years and at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity.
