UAMS is deploying a RN Seasonal Program (16 weeks) in order to meet staffing needs due to increased community spread of the coronavirus. This position is eligible for a Completion Award up to a maximum amount of $4,000, payable in 2 installments at the end of week 8 and week 16 providing they work a minimum of 36 hours per week, including two weekend shifts per month, one holiday (if applicable) and take on-call coverage (as needed). This position is also eligible for Hotel Lodging Program for those who qualify. Click HERE for additional information about UAMS Nurses and Programs.

The Registered Nurse (RN) Seasonal Program will provide direct patient care as a RN.  This professional nursing role will require the ability to coordinate care for patients, triage patients, and work collaboratively with providers, fellows, and staff.  S/He must have the ability to effectively work with patient referral sources, facilitate appointments, coordinate transitions of care, and provide patient education on complex conditions. This position will work with the individual patient, their families, and providers of care to develop and implement individual health plans.

We are seeking experienced nurses in the following fields: Inpatient (Med Surg/Oncology), Adult ICUs, Labor and Delivery, ED, OR, and PRI (Adult, Child, and/or Women’s).

Efforts will be made to assign or place the RN Seasonal Program Participants on a “home unit” where s/he may work as a part of that unit team throughout the seasonal assignment, if possible. However, the RN Seasonal Program Participant may be required to float to other nursing units as needed, depending on patient volumes and need, providing the participants meet competency requirements.
