The RN Care Manager will promote wellness, improved outcomes and self-care within a defined population of patients with a long term condition(s) and complex health needs and support their appropriate utilization of health services. The RN Care Manager will provide patients who have chronic conditions, the support, the education and assistance in the prevention and/or maintenance of their disease and/or health and wellness state, thus increasing patient compliance with their treatment plan. Schedule: Full-Time, Shift Varies This posting will be used to fill multiple positions.    The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care to assigned patients in Neurology/Neurosurgery (H8). This area provides comprehensive quality care for an inpatient 30 bed unit to adolescent, adult, and geriatric neurology and neurosurgical patients in a caring and therapeutic environment. Neurosurgical services include, but are not limited to pre and post-op care for procedures, such as craniotomy, spinal decompression and brain stimulation and treatment of infections of the cranial and spinal areas. Neurological services consist of care of stroke, seizure monitoring and other Neurological disorders. Schedule: Full-Time, Nights   The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care to assigned patients in the Acute Medical Psych (Women's Inpatient Unit). The AMP is a 20 bed unit which cares for adult patients ranging in age from 18 to 50 years, who have a primary psychiatric diagnosis. Those patients might have exacerbations of previously diagnosed problems such as depression, bipolar disorder, schizo-affective disorder and schizophrenia, among others. We also assess first onset psychiatric disorders and admit patients who are experiencing suicidal or homicidal thoughts, hallucinations and delusions. Many of these patients are also treated for substance abuse, which can complicate, or at times, mimic a mental illness. Those patients might also have a physical diagnosis that warrants continued hospitalization. This is a very unique feature for a psychiatric facility, and fills a great need for the patients at UAMS and across the state of Arkansas. As a result, patients do not have to wait until they are completely healed of a medical problem before they can begin to receive intensive, and comprehensive mental health treatment. Schedule: Part-Time, Shift Varies   The Anesthesia Technician assists anesthesia staff before, during, and after procedures requiring anesthesia and answers directly to the SPS/Anesthesia Tech Supervisor.    Anesthesia Technicians will work in the UAMS Main Operating Room.  The Main OR is a 19 room suite, operational 24/7, and located on the 2nd floor of the Central Hospital. There are 10 endoscopic rooms, 2 laminar flow rooms, 2 DaVinci Robotic rooms and a dedicated endovascular room. It is a fast paced environment performing state of the art procedures with state of the art equipment. The Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant will assist with the management of inpatient and outpatient cardiothoracic surgery patients as well as assist during surgery.  Physician Assistant for Cardiothoracic Surgeon  will assist surgeon with clinic, organizing visits and independently performing clinic procedures or visits, act as first assist in the operating room, answer pages and round on post-operative patients on a daily and PRN basis if needed such as answering telephone inquiries and filling prescriptions. Schedule: PRN, As Needed Basis Shifts Vary, Equivalent of 24 hours on a regularly scheduled basis (monthly).
